    Default workout routine.

okay, so: i'm a seventeen year old girl. i am about 5'10" & 150 pounds. i don' overeat, but i don't count calories either. i'm just a basic teenager. i guess you could say i'm happy about my weight but i wouldn't mind losing five pounds. i started today, & i plan to do the following 5x a week:
    - 100 sit ups
    - 100 jumping jacks
    - 50 squats
    - 10x running up and down my hallway stairs. (there's probably 12-15 stairs..)

i want outside opinions. is this enough? is this a good exercise?

    replies appreciated! (:

It's a good start. The general recommendations for exercise are:
Cardio: 3-5x per week, 30-60 minutes per session
Strength Training - 2-3x per week, 2-3 sets per muscle group/workout, 8-12 reps per set

From these recommendations it seems as though you are falling short but making slow changes is the way to go. You can use this workout as a stepping stone to get to your ultimate goal of including more physical activity in your daily life. Consider adding a daily 1-2 mile run 2-3 times per week.

Hey buddy your workout routine is excellent. I think there is no need to change in your workout. My workout routine is also like your. I also like to do some running with these exercises.

A good workout helps to keep excess weight at bay. They help in increasing energy and stamina to sustain the stress and pressures of everyday life.
