I tried a new ab exercise today at the gym. I suspended from a pullup bar and did leg lifts. The motion is awkward at first and you have to get in a rythm to prevent your body from swinging

I've tried those before and I like them, though it gets some getting used to. You also have to concentrate to keep yourself from swaying back and forth.

Find a GHD machine or rig one up at home and you will feel the meaning of soreness. Make sure you know about rhabdo before doing these.

I just try to do the basics: crunches, planks etc. but I am looking to improve my abs and am considering one of those new ab machines. Any suggestions?

I like that wheel with the two handles on it. Nothing seems to make me sore like that thing. I like side planks for the sides too.
